Starting Wednesday, July 3, the North Adams Library will be hosting a pet therapy reading program to encourage students to read. Each Wednesday from 3:00 til 4:00 p.m., students age 5-14 can sign up for a 10 minute session with Whitney, a registered Pet Partners therapy dog. Whitney is a golden retriever who loves to listen to stories. Students are invited to spend their ten minute session reading aloud to Whitney to help gain confidence in their reading skills. For more information about the Pet Partners program, and to reserve a reading time slot, call Julia at 937-386-2556.
