Summer Reading starts June 1 at the Adams County Public Library. June 1 through July 31, kids, teens, and adults are invited to sign up, read books, and earn prizes. Reading goals, activities, and prizes are offered for all ages. Stop by the library to register, and check out books to start reading toward your Summer Reading goal. Register to participate and track your reading online. Log reading for reach summer reader in your family, and stop by the library desk to redeem prizes as you meet goals. Reading eBooks and listening to audio books counts, too!
Each week, the Adams County Public Library will offer free events for all ages at the library. Join us to meet an ambassador wolf from Ironwood Wolf Sanctuary on June 9 at the Manchester and North Adams Library. On June 27 and July 18, don’t miss the chance to interact with an African Penguin visiting from Newport Aquarium. Ronald McDonald will visit the North Adams and Peebles libraries on June 29. June 5 through July 27, kids ages 18 and under can eat lunch for free at the Adams County Public Library, Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. til 12:30 p.m. Free lunches are a service of the USDA’s Summer Nutrition program, provided in partnership with Manchester Local School District. No eligibility requirements apply. Fresh lunches are delivered to the library each morning, and served between 12:00 and 12:30 p.m. Adults can purchase a lunch for $4.
