ACPL is Closed Until Further Notice

Adams County Public Library is committed to serving the needs of the public while also working to ensure the safety and health of our patrons, staff, and the community. The world is experiencing an unprecedented health crisis threatening our citizens. Early action in stemming the spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, is critical.

All library locations will close effective at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 13, and will remain closed until further notice. This decision was not made lightly. The scientific evidence that early social distancing can help stop the spread of the coronavirus is a compelling factor in taking this precautionary step on behalf of our patrons, staff, and the community during this pandemic. We will continue to follow guidelines provided by our local, county, and state health officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC).

While our locations will be closed for this extended period of time, digital library resources are available on our website, adamscolibrary.org, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines, movies, and music plus research and learning tools. The safety of patrons and staff is a priority for the library. Follow us on social media (Facebook, Twitter) and check our website for updates.

In the coming days, we will be having discussions about the possibility of offering some additional, limited services to the public, if safety can adequately be maintained. We will keep you informed of additional changes in operation as this rapidly evolving public health situation continues to unfold. Thank you to all of our patrons, friends, colleagues, and supporters who have expressed their concern and understanding during this uncertain time.
