Did you know you can download eBooks and audio books from the library directly to your tablet, smartphone, or computer? Your Adams County Public Library card gives you access to over 125,000 ebook titles in the Ohio Digital Library. The library offers titles current best sellers, popular authors, fiction, non-fiction, and more, in formats compatible with most devices. Visit ohioebooks.org, and log in with your library card number and PIN to start downloading.
When browsing the eBook catalog, look for the ebook, audio book, or video symbol on the cover of each item. Sort and filter to find titles compatible with your device, in the format you wish to borrow. Download up to 10 titles at one time. Borrowed ebooks expire after 21 days, and are automatically returned, with no fines. If the title you wish to borrow is currently checked out, click the Place a Hold button, and you’ll automatically receive an email alert when the title becomes available.
Starting in July, you can now renew items borrowed from the Ohio Digital Library, if no one else is waiting to borrow that title. Log in to the Ohio Digital Library within three days of your item’s expiration date, visit your Bookshelf, and click the Renew button next to the title.
