STEM Saturday in March will feature Google Expeditions VR. Join us to take a virtual tour of unique places around the world through the Google Expeditions app, featuring over 1,000 virtual reality and augmented reality tours of real places. Discover VR tours created by National Geographic, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Guggenheim. Or dive in to augmented reality, and bring natural wonders into the room with you. Take a close-up virtual look at dinosaurs, sharks, volcanoes, earthquakes, the solar system, history and science topics, and much more.
The library will provide both a device with the Google Expeditions app, and a VR headset to view the app. If you’d like, you can bring along your own smartphone with the app installed. Learn more by reading about Google Expeditions online.
Equipment is provided by SWON Libraries Consortium, and the program is made possible by Guiding Ohio Online, a grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
Join us at the Peebles Library on March 2 from 10 til 12:30 p. m., the North Adams Library on March 2 from 1 til 4:00 p.m., the Manchester Library on March 16 from 10 til 12:30 p.m., and the West Union Library on March 23 from 10 til 12:30 p.m.
