The Adams County Public Library would like to thank everyone for your continued patience and support during this public health crisis. Since the health and safety of both our staff and patrons is our highest priority, we’ve been extremely cautious regarding our reopening. However, we are pleased to announce that all our locations will begin accepting returns on Monday, June 15, during limited hours. Each building will remain closed, but patrons can use the exterior book drops to return books, DVDs, books on CD, and other library items during specific hours. Contact your branch for more details on when, how, and where to return your library items. Due to item quarantining measures, these items will not immediately be removed from your account. The due dates for all our items have been extended to July 31 to reflect this timeline, so your account does not become blocked. In addition, remember that we are a fine free library, so even if your items become overdue, as long as you return them in good condition, you will not be charged.
All Adams County Public Library locations will reopen with curbside pickup and drive-thru services only on Monday, June 22. Each library branch will have different hours and days for these services, which are exclusively for the pickup of items requested online or by phone. For the time being, only requests for items owned and housed in one of the county library locations will be filled, as statewide library delivery is still suspended. Other requests can still be placed, but it will be several weeks before they become available.
