Ohio Library Funding in Danger

The Ohio House of Representatives is preparing to cut library funding. State funding for Ohio’s public libraries will be automatically cut on July 1, 2017 unless action is taken to protect the Public Library Fund.

Ohio House Leadership needs to hear from Ohio library supporters before Friday, April 28 at 4:00 p.m. Would you call or email members of the House Finance Committee and House Leadership?

  • Urge them NOT to CUT funding for public libraries.
  • Urge them to support Rep. Marlene Anielski’s (R-Walton Hills) amendment to protect the PLF at 1.68% so that it is not reduced to 1.66% of the GRF.
  • Be sure to share how your library helps Ohio’s citizens.

Only a show of support can protect Ohio library funding from immediate cuts. Thank you for your support!
