P.T. Reptiles and Ronald McDonald Visit the Library

On Monday, July 25, discover the amazing lives of reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids with P.T. Reptiles at the library. Experienced reptile handler Peter Rushton offers a hands-on learning experience for kids, and brings live reptiles to see and touch up close. Discover Reptiles at the North Adams Library at 1:00 p.m., and the Peebles Library at 3:30 p.m

On Tuesday, July 26, Ronald McDonald helps us wrap up the Summer Reading program at the Manchester and West Union Libraries. Ronald presents a fun, engaging magic show for elementary and middle-school age kids at the Manchester Library at 11:00 a.m. and the West Union Library at 2:00 p.m. Celebrate Summer Reading after Ronald McDonald’s show at the Manchester Library with ice cream sundaes.

Teens, celebrate your Summer Reading achievements with a Pizza Party at the Manchester Library on Tuesday, July 26 at 3:30 p.m. At the North Adams Library, kids and teens can test their library skills in a Scavenger Hunt at the North Adams Library. Kids are invited on Tuesday, July 26 at 3 p.m., and teens on Thursday, July 28 at 3 p.m.

On Monday, July 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Manchester Library, Marsha McCormick will share recipes for healthy snacks your whole family will love to eat, and demonstrate a fruit smoothie. On Wednesday, July 27 at 3:30 p.m., Marsha visits the North Adams Library to share how you can reduce sodium intake and boost flavor by cooking with herbs. On Wednesday, July 27 at 11:00 a.m., come to the Peebles Library for a group smoothie-making session.

Join Tara each Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the West Union Library for Kids Summer Reading. Earn points toward prizes for each event you attend.

Families are invited to a Summer Reading Carnival at the North Adams Library on Saturday, July 30. From 1:00 til 3:00 p.m., come enjoy outdoor games, food, activities, prizes, and more in our own outdoor festival at the library.

Cornerstone Paranormal Investigators share their experiences exploring paranormal phenomena in a presentation at the Manchester Library on Saturday, July 30 at 1:00 p.m. Come learn more about how their large team of investigators use scientific equipment to record evidence of unexplained events, including ghost sightings, paranormal encounters, and more.

The North Adams Book Club will meet Thursday, July 28 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss “Wide Sargasso Sea” by Jean Rhys. The West Union Book Club will meet Thursday, July 28 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss “The Ghost Bride” by Yangsze Choo.
